One of the fears many people have about starting their own business is the fear of publicity. Yes, once you have decided to set up your own business, whatever it may be, you become somewhat of a public figure - the more public you are, the more people will take notice of the products or services you offer and the more orders or offers of collaboration you can expect.
But how do you now take it upon yourself to let everyone know that you run your own business? You've been spending time at home or in a salaried job, and suddenly you've thought of something out of the blue...
I understand that this fear is not for everyone and that some people cross this threshold smoothly, but for others it is a very strong deterrent. What is behind the fear of going out in public?
– Up until now, you've lived like everyone else, going to work, not acting out, just being a cog in the system. All your relatives and acquaintances knew you as this quiet, unremarkable person. And now you have decided to start behaving differently from the way you are used to. Don't you feel as if you are not living up to people's expectations? If you have been taught from a young age to live like everyone else, you may certainly be under the illusion that you are disappointing your parents, teachers, cousins, friends, etc. It's just an illusion. Ask yourself how your parents and friends will feel when they see that you are succeeding, that you are finally living the life you want and doing what you love.
– The fear of standing out from the crowd is in our genes. If you look back through human history, you will see that those who did not conform to the community's standards (worshipping the wrong gods, following the wrong traditions, etc.) were often treated cruelly by those around them - chased away, scorned, or even murdered. On the other hand, what would our history and our world look like if it had not been for the emergence of differently minded personalities who did not conform to the opinions of the crowd? All the leaders, inventors, reformers, etc. have been like that.
I would like to draw your attention to the fact that fear itself is not evil. It is not something we are given for no reason. Imagine a person who wants to climb a mountain but is not at all afraid of falling. He climbs without a sense of fear, without protection, with a casual attitude towards safety equipment. How many times do the chances of falling increase? Healthy fear is the safety net that makes you take extra precautions, anticipate and prepare for the obstacles you may encounter on your way (in the case of business, for example, you can consult other entrepreneurs, mentors, advisers).
So the next time you are afraid of fear itself, take a deep breath, exhale, relax and ask yourself: what am I really afraid of? And if you want to talk about the fears of starting a business, send me a message.

Having been running my own business successfully for 15 years now, I dare say I know a thing or two about it. I have come a long way over the years, stepped on more than one rake, learnt countless lessons, fallen down and got back up again. What has made my business successful and growing despite all the challenges? Here are some of my recipes for a successful business: 1. Plan your profits. [...]
If you decide to start a business, it's not enough to simply have a product and know who to sell it to. You will have to deal with a lot of paperwork at the start of your business, and take the time to study all the information so that you don't have any unpleasant surprises. This can be done on your own and will require: 1. 2. Fill in the VMI forms: contacts, type of activity, [...]
Do you believe in astrologers, numerologists or other experts on the signs of the Universe? It turns out that a lot of people do, and their advice is very important to them. I was once approached by a woman who wanted a company to be founded on a specific date because a well-known astrologer in the community had calculated a successful business that way. The clients' wishes and [...]
