DO YOU REALLY NEED TO BE PERFECTLY PREPARED TO START YOUR OWN BUSINESS OR ACTIVITY?

I often have the attitude that you need to be fully prepared, to learn, to know, to understand, etc., before you can do something. This means that if you want to do floristry, for example, you have to have done a course in it, you have to know all the nuances of it, and if you want to teach others how to dance, you have to be an excellent dancer. If you think about it this way, it seems that to start your own business, it is imperative to learn the subtleties of business.

I thought the same for a while. I'll learn everything first, and then I can start. But once you have learned something, there is always something more to learn. Besides, it turns out that if you don't put what you've learned into practice, it gets old, "rusty" and useless. So the best way to learn how to be an entrepreneur in any field is to develop your own business.

People sometimes imagine that the more knowledge they accumulate, the fewer mistakes they will make in business. Believe me, mistakes are good. I don't know a single entrepreneur who doesn't make mistakes, and I see a clear trend: the less afraid a person is of making mistakes, the more effective he or she is at correcting them, and the more successful he or she is at growing the business.

Of course, certain things need to be clarified before you start. I am by no means saying to just take off and start a business without any idea. It may even be worth consulting professionals - business consultants, mentors, accountants, etc. But the big learning will start when you start to act and put your knowledge into practice.

Only when you start interacting with customers and fulfilling orders will you learn to understand:

what really matters to your target audience;
how best to communicate with customers and partners;
how well your product or service is meeting customer expectations, and whether and how it could be improved;
whether your business strategy is good enough.

Remember that knowledge is only as good as its ability to improve your life or the lives of your customers. If it is not used, it becomes just mental ballast.

If you have a lot of questions swirling around in your head about starting your own business, get in touch. I'll do my best to help.
